After the statement from the Lega Serie A that announced an agreement between all the clubs to cut two months of salary if the competitions are resumed and four if notFollowing the path outlined by Juventus, the Italian Football Players Association called the proposal “shameful and inadmissible”. The vice-president of the players’ union, Umberto Calcagno, declared enraged: “It is clear that the intention is that only footballers pay the damages of this crisis“The only relevant part of that statement,” added Calcagno, “is the point where it is explained that the teams will have to negotiate the contractual modifications with the players.”Now another game begins: each club will have to convince its footballers to accept the cut.
