Transfer Insider: Liverpool deal on the cards and good news for Man United

first_img Liverpool transfer target Sergio Romero There’s plenty of business still to do before the transfer window shuts and our insider has the latest on the biggest deals…Daley Blind – Ajax to Manchester UnitedUnited are confident of signing Blind after a breakthrough in talks and reports that he’s been in England looking at houses. A fee hasn’t been agreed, but it’s very close and this deal should go through very soon. (Chances of it happening: 8/10).Sergio Romero – Sampdoria to LiverpoolLiverpool are desperate to sign a quality back-up goalie and have turned to Romero. Talks have taken place but the Reds don’t want to pay a fee, and that’s the sticking point. Work to do but this transfer is on the cards. (7/10).Sami Khedira – Real Madrid to ChelseaChelsea want Khedira and Madrid are happy to sell him, but this deal hinges on whether the Blues can offload John Obi Mikel. If that happens, this deal is on, but it’s firmly in limbo at the moment. Wait and see. (5/10).Andre Schurrle – Chelsea to Atletico MadridAtletico made Schurrle their top target this summer and have now opened talks with Chelsea over a deal. The Spanish club are confident, but Chelsea don’t want to sell and the player won’t force a move. This transfer is unlikely. (3/10).Mehdi Benatia – Roma to Manchester UnitedUnited approached Roma to ask about Benatia but were firmly told he’s not for sale. The Red Devils don’t have the sort of cash to get them to change their mind and are now looking at other options instead. (1/10). 1last_img read more
